the last stand of the magisters (without the journal)

So I got to the point in this quest where I now need to read a journal but I lost/sold it. I am at part 11 acording to this site https://guides4gamers.com/divinity-original-sin-2/quest/the-last-stand-of-the-magisters/

if you scroll down to 11 that is the point at which I need to read the journal but I guess I sold it or something...

Is there a way to get around this? I feel like thats really dumb that I can sell a quest item (before using it) or even drop it for that matter!

Are you sure you didn't accidentally destroy it with an AoE while fighting whatever happened to be there?
