Lost black cat somewhere

I am reasonably sure he was not killed... But I can't find it anymore. Is there a way , even using GR2 tool if required to know where the lack cat is ? Or at least know for sure if he is dead ?

Try teleporting somewhere by using the statues and see if it pops up. Otherwise it's most likely dead yeah.

Unless you left the prison and don't have the Red Prince?

Not sure if it helps, but I've went through the place with Black Cat few times, and each time only location where I've noticed it getting stuck is if I use ladder from underground prison to Fort Joy square.

So basically cat can go down that ladder, but not up. If cat isn't following you anymore, you might want to check that area.

For me the cat got stuck in the fort. It would follow me in the fort but anytime I left the building it would not follow me out so I never got the summon.

the cat will follow you out via the sewer gate.

Cat can get stuck when you go down into the hidden hatch to get to the soul jars.You can get him back by using the shrine back to town.Then head to the hidden hatch the elf tells you about down the way from dwarf healer"polymorph merchant" and mingo/ghiest fight.Once you get close enough the cat should come running back to you.
