Lohse Demon Fight (Spoilers?)

Any tips from those who've beaten him already? I've tried a few times coming nowehere near victory, and all the previous threads say to hit him hard while he's still in conversation. However, maybe it's just since the last patch, but when I try that he takes no damage, switches to conversation with whoever hit him, and the fight starts up like normal. He also no longer spends a turn drinking potions like he apparently used to, and instead just transforms and throws out several heavy hitting fire spells right from the get go that mess you up. I'm properly leveled and geared, so I'm just wondering what the catch is. Oh, yes I've also done the candle quest with Malady, and I even brought Jahan with me to Arx, but he hasn't actually contributed to the quest :( any tips or advice at all is appreciated! Thank you all in advance! ^-^

1) Don't talk to him, kill the nurses after you walk through the front door. Extreme prejudice.
2) Invest a lot of points into Wits, get your turn first, stun/knock down etc the doctor and kill his human form.

Two ways. Of course, just straight out slaughter him works too.

WTF didn't even knew he had a second form, my ranger just played first and knocked him down ahah.

he does fire damage and his physical attacks are weak....

fire resist gear / potions weather the storm for a few turns while you smack his armors down

potions are your friend

set up a tank character that can hold him at a choke point whilst you weather the storm.

On tactician this fight is in my opinion difficult but the key is preparing pre fight .

When did you guys do the fight? Because if I try fighting the nurses first he still transforms and joins the fight, and even with wits spells and potions I'm still not getting to go before his transformation in the fight :/ I'm honestly a little befuddled because this fight is just suddenly way tougher than any other I've had in the game

There are plenty of ways to cheese/cheat the fight which I am not going to tell you. I already wrote a lot in similar posts asking the same question so now I am too lazy to write another. So I am going to tell you the short version of how to beat him fairly with or without the weakness debuff in his demon form on tactician:

- One thing you can do is kite the nurses out of the build and take care of them one at a time.
- Drop the health and armor of the nurses down to near death but do not kill them. Group them near the Doctor. Cast Equalise, a polymorph spell. Win.
- To make your life even easier, use Anathema. Just do not normal attack with it or it will break.
- They cast a lot of spells, so make sure you have a guy max out on Leadership plus more from items. At this point, your guys can survive a full blast of meteor shower from the Doctor, if not then you're doing something wrong.
- Once his armor is off, keep him permanently locked down with CCs.

having a wayfarer makes it easier IMO.

rogues can attack him close range then invis to keep him from attacking the squishies.

on your tank use armor pots and if youve built the tank right he should have a lot of skills to help

guardian skill , fortify , deflective barrier , shields up , ect ect . .. . .

its tough because hes a side boss.

you dont need to kill him to beat the game.

Oh yeah, i get that it isnt a mandatory fight or anything, but ive grown atatched to the characters and want to see all their personal stories through to the end ^-^

1. Buy / Steal all of his potions without Lohse in your party
2. Get Lohse back, snuff out his candles
3. Send some poisoned fish his way
4. Rogues stay back, enter combat as late as possible with backlash to get that sweet sweet double round
5. As always, knockdown and chicken claw reign supreme
