Tyrant's stride unobtainable (bug?)

I can't seem to get Tyrant's stride, my character has 19 wits but when i interact with the statue he just says "Quite the stare you've got." and nothing more happens.
I've heard that the armor is pretty bad but im a bit of a completionist when its comes to stuff like this.

I havent had any issues with it and obtained at 14-15 wits. Maybe you exhausted the dialogue before you had your wits up and now its failing?

Havent seen the bug but hopefully you figure it out!

Yes i did actually, i came back with more wits a bit later after reading about it.

With your back to the ladder, facing the phylactery room, you're going to the statue on the left right? Not the one on the right next to the chest? There are two statues and it sounds like you might just be at the wrong one. I did that the first time.

I just can't find a statue on the other side only the waypoint statue

My issue was that the other prison entrance has an ancient passage too, with the waypoint in it not the souljar one.

You're in the wrong area then. You need to be in the room where Withermoore's soul jars are. Theres a hidden lever you can find that reveals a trapdoor in the floor. Kinda near the room with the hounds. There's no waypoint statue on the map in the room you need to find.
