Is there a way to import save games?
I created a profile and started playing on a friend's pc who got it from GoG. After playing a few times (about 8 hours in, just after saving Gareth) I decided to buy the game but I'd rather have it on steam. Anyway I copied my profile and save games for my character from that pc into a usb and was wondering where to put them, if at all possible.

I'm guessing it's not such a common problem :(

Steam saves go in "My Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\*ProfileName*\Savegames\Story" Profile name more than likely must match the one in the game already if there is one.

In case anyone else is wondering, I just put my save files and profile in the folder OtakuD said and kept on going from where I left off. So it works :)

Could oyu tell me exactly what you did?

My friend is trying to give me his save (mine an his multiplayer save) But it's not show up.

How much of the folders do I need?

Went to "My Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2" on my friend's pc, copied everything, created the folder in My Documents on my pc and pasted everything. Then I started the game, selected my profile, deleted the other one and was good to go.

The only thing is I didn't get the achievements for the things I had already done but I don't really care.

You can also do it on the steam version, as long as you don't care about achievements you can copy/paste savefiles and use them freely. Sure, GOG has it's advantages but when it comes to this discussion they are pretty much irrelevant.
