Obsidian Lancet lost

Any way to get it back? Playing co-op and one of my friends offed it and doesn't remember where. Got the three source points now and don't know what to do. Can you add it to your inventory with cheat engine or something? I've been playing solo while they're gone and wandering everywhere and legitimately can not find the damn thing and have no idea what else to do.

i lost it too, during the time when i am housekeeping (selling all low cost/no use items)- didn't know it has a use later in the game. this is the problem with the inventory system (unlike in witcher 3 where QUEST items are on a different location or is tagged as quest item so we dont drop it or lose it. anyway, you can get the item via a MOD. unfortunately, the mod will disable achievements whatever that is i don't know. i am playing using a GOG.com game purchase and not STEAM game purchase. anyway, i downloaded the mod and it works. you will get the stupid lancet where the picture on the mod is located and use it.) the problem for me now, is, i also sold/lost/dropped that stupid ritual bowl. so since there is bowl MOD. im ♥♥♥♥ SOL. gotta go go back 20 hours on my savegame and RESTART the fhack out.

also i wanna finish this game HONESTLY first, so no mod, no no trainer, no cheat at first but once im done with the normal gamestyle then cheat i will do soon on my replay.

Honestly feel like the easy answer would be to just allow you to get a new bowl/lancer from the cupboard. I did find mine though, my friend was apparently arrested and left it in the locker.

just dump quest related stuff in a backpack they don't weigh much

I found the bowl in the basement on the incinerator grate where I left it (d'oh). Still looking for the !@#$%^&*()_ lancet. Agree that quest items should be better flagged.

new patch just came out. saw this in patch notes. "Adjusted Meistr’s Vault so that it gives a ritual dagger and ritual bowl each time the player opens it, if the player does not have it in his inventory"

Check the date on the post, it was a month ago. he probably finish the game at least once.

I know this is an old post but this might help someone searching like I did. I lost the lancet but still had the bowl and some black root. The lancet was not in any of my bags and it wasn't in Lady Vengeance storage. Every time I went to the cabinet it would tell me I already had all the ingredients, even if I switched characters. What worked for me was I left the ritual bowl filled with black root upstairs before going down the hatch. THEN checked the cabinet and it gave me a new bowl and a new lancet.
