Fire Slug is life.
Everything else suck!
Edit: Also, meteor strike.
Some that really suck are the wolf for example, even with a bit of summoning it really can't do much.
Yeah, not a bad idea.
For a system that is basically FF's overdrive/limit-break, they're not nearly as good as they could be. Let alone the fact that some skills cost 2 or 3 source points... aka one-time use unless you find time to vamp.
The system could be a lot better. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was hoping it wasn't when I first started but not nearly as good as I was hoping before release.
it hits all enemies in an 8m ring for like 5k+ damage
if i get a good rng fall of the arrows i can do over 7k damage.
lohses a water mage and her hail storm / thunder storm skills are bad ass.
source skills are definitely the most powerful skills in the late game.
Arrow spray is utterly useless as an AoE, as most of the arrows will miss. It's downright godlike against a large enemy in melee range. I dropped the more difficult of the bridge trolls with it by "retreating" into melee range and emptying my quiver up his loincloth.
The level 5 polymorph ability that takes 3 source and 2 AP seems useful too, though I don't have a polymorph character that high yet. Might have to visit the mirror to try it out. It makes all source abilities take -3 source, so they don't take source at all (unsure if a 1/2 source ability would actually give source..). Lasts 2 turns, so a lone wolf character could unleash like five (maybe six with adrenaline on the second turn) free source abilities while it was active, provided that was all they did.
A mage with several elemental schools under their belt could drop several high damage source AoE's while that was active.
Logicaly source skills should be that pure soure skills, bless, curse etc. And. Normal spells should be just that normal spells that can recieve secondary effects from source.
Source should have been used like rune system. It should simply add different passive or active effects to spells. Like instead of normal fire it will turn to necro fire, or add more damage or prolong buffs.
