Wands? (not that many found)
Hello all,

So, I like to main as a Summoner who uses dual wands, always have been a fan of Dual Wands since DOS 1, I love the combination potential they use, along with glass cannon adding to the damage they can deal.

However, in this game, I've found almost next to no wands, all I seem to be finding are Bows, and One handed swords, which is great, or at least I'd like to say that, but considering my archer, and fighter already have massive upgrades over my Summoner/Rogue, I've noticed that even with Luck Charm maxed out, I seem to be finding more One handed swords, and bows, over Wands.

This is rather disappointing, because my Summoner is still using level 6 wands, while every other character in the group is using Level 15+ weapons.

Are wands that "rare" to find? Or is this just bad luck? I've often thought about switching to Stalves, but I'm quite content on using 2 ranged/magic users and 2 melee users in my party. And honestly, it's making me want to switch my character from using dual wands, to something that I can find more commonly.

Is anyone else who loves using dual wands, having a problem finding wands as well?

Buy/Steal them. You're right that they seem rare out in the wild, but most vendors have at least a couple.

Check often your favorite vendors, you will most likely buy all your good gear from vendors. Only get usable gear from loot at start, you will quickly outlevel the quest rewards and loot finds.

Which is fine and dandy, but not even Vendors sell anything worth while. The only "Wand Combination" worth using in my opinion is Poison/Fire, because Water wands no longer make enemies wet, yet, they freeze the ground, thus making Water/Air combo absolutely useless.

This to me was the fun in having dual wands, the amount of combinations you can use. However, there's not many fire wands, nor Poison wands you can buy from vendors, or that I've seen thus far, and I'm half ways through Act 2. So I heavily rely on "lucky charm" to find something half decent.

My opinion of course.

If you're beginning game you can craft them (short stick + skull) But I've found a good selection on vendors as well as the occasional drop. I have Loshe in my group as a dual wand wielding 'gunslinger' and I've gotten some very good ones for her.

Vendors reset every levelup, and I THINK once an hour or so. Keep checking them. There are most definitely poison and fire wands at vendors.

Yup this. Since you're in act 2 I see, every hour or levelup, hop to driftwood square and check the vendors. Save before doing this and check the vendors in different order, to make their selection 'randomize.'

For example if the weaon vendor doesn't have something you like, reload, check the fish vendor first, then check the weapon person. You'll always find the same items if you check things in the same order. But if you mix it up, you'll see other stuff. A little cheesy but it works.
