Tips for beginner (Crocodiles on Fort Joy)
I havent played an RPG since 10 years ago and that wasnt anywhere near the complexity of this game. So i have a party of 4, all level 2 and stats distributed. On Classic Mode. No gear other than the one i found in the ship and the party is already wearing. My main character is a Knight and he dies pretty fast if i go charging in melee fighting with these crocodiles.

Magic works the best, so ive tried using a Wizard throwing stones with oil and then putting these guys on fire. But it hardly helps as they have crazy 70hp and i hit for anything between 4 and 11.
I beat them once and then i had to resurrect two of my party members.....

Am i missing out on something? Is it my positioning and tactics thats completely failing or should i be higher level or have better gear?

Specially in the beginning, level is crucial in this game. You may think "it's only one level difference", but it's more like "they're 50% higher level than you". My best advice is to go around town do some other quests (many quests don't require fighting) and then when you reach level 3 come back and kick their arses.

Yeah as above.

I'm no expert, but I left them till I was Lvl 3, and they weren't too bad. There is a quest, but I killed them before that. Not sure if I lost XP, I think I still completed the quest anyway(and got my item back) They have some nice items.
