Black Cat Question (Spoilers)
I have a question in regards to the black cat. There are spoilers in the question below.

I did a few playthroughs now and am just about to leave Fort Joy island for good! However, how do I get the black cat as a summon companion if I left Fort Joy by exiting though the drawbridge rather than taking the boat when escaping the dungeon? If you go through the boat it joins you after leaving the dungeon[spoiler/]

That's the least spoilery post ever :p

I have no idea what drawbridge you are talking about to be honest, is it the one guarded by magisters ? As long as the cat can follow you if you bring him far enough from Fort Joy it will automatically happen. If he can't follow you using your way because of a ladder or something just take another path. In any case it's kinda recommended to be able to take all paths because that means you kill more people, get more good items and more xp. (possible not to but still better).

Also the cat is cute and all but at the end of the day he is quite useless and take a memory slot on top of that so meh. I used to be a big defender of that cat but seriously a regular mobility spell is 10x better

He can follow you in boat. First time I escaped the Fort, that was the way I took. Like the poster over me said. If you fail to bring the cat one way, just backtrack and chose another exit (no need to reload saves). You can even bring the cat the teleport-route, as long as you remember to teleport the cat down to you (you will lose some attitude with the cat, but that does not matter when it becomes a skill/pet).

I got this bright idea to get the cat for my summoner character... And yeah it get buffs from summoner, but then I realize that you can't have the cat and the incinerate summon (spelling?) at the same time, and the cat is way worse imo since you cannot buff it with those nice summoner buffs on your regular minion.

Long story short, the cat seems pretty underwhelming unless it is used for some quest later on.

there's a awesom mod that lets use three summons at once.
