Tyrant's armor worth it passed act 1? (minor spoilers)
Quick question here, So I made it passed Act 1 (severely underestimated the difficulty of this game and in 15 hours I restarted my playthrough) with my whole party at lvl 9. The problem is while the armor set gives decent stats bonuses and an extremely useful skill but the armor set is only lvl 6. Unless their is a way to upgrade it should I just sell it for possibly better gear?

Its kinda useless... you do need a couple charges of source vampirism (3?) on the second island so it helps to have something that can do it (helm or wand) from a1

Otherwise you very quickly surpass it

Once you start getting higher in levels the gear scaling becomes immense. At level 9 you are gimping yourself by using level 6 gear. Even going from something like level 10 to 12 gear is a bit crazy. So i would say get some new gear!

Ah I see because that armor is worth a lot of money.

Alright thanks for the response I will go ahead and sell the gear. Unfortunately I can't go naked in public since I'm a skeleton but oh well.

So far, 3/4 the way through Act 2 and I've found no way to improve it - I finally sold it because the armour I have now is vastly superior.

Tyrant becomes bad pretty fast

Better change your gear each 2 lvls if possible

I have been wondering about this for a while my lvl 13 tank has been ok so far... but last few encounters, strategy not muscle has gotten me by.... i just realized half of my armor is shield ya time to ditch ... after i rob everyone in Driftwood blind to pay for it. Watch out smooth talking red mini Godzilla and sneaky elf gonna pick your pocket :-)

I thought you must equip it ALL? Obviously not from this discussion, or is that just initially? when you first equip it? LV>8 now preparing for Alexander seems Tyrant scaled at this point? Later can you keep certain items ala source vampirism and discard the rest without curse?

To answer your question yes you need the full set equiped to use the one useful piece of the set. I wouldn't worry about it to much my dude

It's junk armor, basically. Use the helmet enough to release the demon for XP, then sell it. You'll gimp yourself too easily by needing the whole set at all times.

Just a piece of advice, have one character with max lucky charm in every play through. It helps a whole lot in keeping your party geared up without spending a lot of gold.
