Witch's potion recipe

Got the witch's grimoire but accidentally dropped it before I had the chance to read it with my scholar/mystic character. I've looked everywhere for it for about 2 hours but can't find it.

What's the recipe? I know that you need the witch's eye for it but not sure about the other ingredients. Oh and I'm not talking about the one potion on the shelf. For those of you who're not aware, you can actually make an another one yourself if you read the witch's grimoire with a character who has the scholar and mystic backgrounds and thus save both of the cows.

Thanks mate. Oh and if you have an older save where you still have the potion you should try drinking it yourself. There's a small easter egg if you do.

Just don't save after you do it.

Important note: I had a problem with this quest, I picked up the eye before I started the quest and it only ever appeared as "creepy eye".

I didn't have anyone with the scholar + mystic tag (requires both to interpret what the book says that you get from the dead frog in the basement). the combination doesnt work if the eye appears as "creepy eye", but my workaround was to use a cooking pot (I used the one in the witch's basement), put in the eye (now appears as "witch's eye"), augmentor, and boletus, then of couse you have to remove the cooking pot from the list if it appears

then the potion will work. wanted to pay it forward in case others have the problem that I did

I believe there is no character that fulfills scholar + mystic tag beside Fane, correct ? as I did not take Fane with me I have no chance to read it, correct ?

but I will try to cook it without recipe, though. thanks for that info.

Yeah Fane is the only companion with that combo. You can still have it yourself though.

Is it just me or is it odd that the only origin character that allows you to read this book is the one that got added because crowed funding exceeded Larian’s goal? In fact he seems to be the main character.

Having done this quest many times. You will fail to complete the quest if you craft the potion inside the witchs house. I found that you can complete it without fane (or a non origin character) by talking to the cow. Saying bye then craft the potion as staed above and then giving it to them.
