Achievements "Iniquity Forgiven"/"Furious Rebuke". How to? *spoilers*

How do you actually get those and when exactly?

I guess you are supposed to make Gareth talk to Jonathan. But I managed either to
1) close up the quest straight away by asking Gareth to give up on investigation
2) kill Jon alone and bring Gareth his ring as evidence.

Probably a bug considering the quest doesn't finish in the journal.

Meh, if anyone who has this achievement could just drop 1 line in here regarding 'what condition/action" actually triggers those achievs.

I got inquity forgiven, when you find Gareth in a house with Jonathan knocked out, you need to convince Gareth not to execute Jonathan by passing a persuasion check.

I guess this does not happen at Gareth's farm (where murder has been committed?).
For me Gareth stays near his farm and Jon helds prisoner (the one Hannag asks you to free).

No, first you're supposed to find Gareth in an abandoned shack/house with Jonathan on the floor. After this event, you get to Gareth's family house where you find him digging the graves.

Chiming in a bit late here but I had to spend like 20 mins figuring this out today so here is how:

When you meet Gareth in the shack with Jonathan lying on the ground go talk to him

- Furious Rebuke - Encourage him to kill Jonathan. Do it yourself. Afterwards use first dialog option about "Where is the man I met in the swamp!"

- Iniquity Forgiven - Encrouage him to let Jonathan live. Pick dialog option "I didnt save you from the swamp to abandon your ideals!"

At the very beginning of act 2, before I did any quest, I went to Gareth's family house. I found Gareth there, digging graves for his parents. And Jonathan is at the Black Pits. At this point, I cannot get the achievement, the story is heading into a direction where the achievents doesn't trigger, no matter what I tried.

How do I get Gareth and Jonathan to be in this shack ? Where is the shack on the map ?

You shouldn't go to his family farmhouse right away, that will trigger his parents' death and move Gareth to his digging point. Gareth will be in an abandoned shack, south of Driftwood Fields waypoint. x385; y272 to be exact.
The journal is still bugged by the way AFAIK so don't get too frustrated by that.
