A taste of freedom (The Lich)
There is The Lich, so, should I let him go?
If I do, what's then? Will I see him in future? Is a good or a bad guy?

btw, he gave me totally useless skill book, I was hoping for a better reward.

P.S.: I can't fight with him by some reason. I can only realese him and leave him be. Why?

Releasing him means you get to encounter him in the future (on two separate occasions, iirc) and will have the option to destroy him or turn a blind eye to his actions.

Keeping him imprisoned means that Mordus continues being empowered.

You can let him go, but he start to eat innocent villagers/dwarfs you can meet him not far from Driftwood. You can feed him with your source point (for not killing innocent) or kill him.

If you let him go and don't complete all the parts of the quest ie let him do what he wants/assist him, then you'll get an incomplete quest entry in the journal. Yay

I have kept him alive and fed a source point from myself. He said he will bring me near to his cache/reliquary. He asked me to go there. But where is this reliquary??

Check your map. It's towards the northwest

no spoilers, if you want to max your exp, kill him after the third time you see him and spare him for the last time right as he spawns a treasure chest for you for letting him do all his bad ♥♥♥♥

if you want to be "good" you'd kill him before that treasure chest, because he sacrifices someone to gain power for it to spawn for you

No, this is wrong.

Doing the quest the "good" way:

Free him - oops
Discover him feeding off the caravan, offer a source point instead
Spank him (optional)
Go to phylactery point & donate blood
Allow lich to pick it up
Spank him + four adds
Take phylactery off body and break it

You'll notice that you cannot pick the phylactery up once it drops - but you can destroy it, thus destroying the lich for good.

After you let him go from the crypt, he will go out and kill 2 magisters and a bunch of dwarves in driftwood where you can catch him in a fight. Kill him there or fight him and then let him go or feed him source and let him go.

Next time you meet him is in the ruins near Hannag where he will either ask for your blood (if you gave him source) or try to sacrifice some kid. If you let him, you get a chest of reward.

For best reward, wait till he summnons your reward chest then KILL HIM for more rewards

I have found the reliquary and gave some blood so that he can gather his soul jar. After that he vanishes. I want to destroy him after he give me some reward. But after retrieving his soul jar he just vanishes. Cannot find him since. I want maximum XP out of him . Any tips?

You can avoid fighting the Lich, and only have to fight the Parasitic Hearts. While talking to the Lich at his Altar, (If you talked to him before the fight and then freed him in the chamber (First Encounter), then fed him a source point to keep him from feeding on more innocents (Second Encounter, feeding on dwarves)) decide to give him some blood. WITH ANOTHER CHARACTER, ATTACK HIM WHILE HE IS SPAWNING THE CHEST. If you wait til the chest is actually spawned, the Soul Jar will appear and he will pick it up. Attack him while he is casting the spell, and he will engage in conversation with his attacker. WHILE HE IS TALKING TO THE ATTACKER, DESTROY HIS SOUL JAR WITH A DIFFERENT CHARACTER. It should only take one shot, and the Lich will die with the breaking of his Soul Jar. BOOM! The four Parasitic Hearts will still spawn because of entering the "FIGHT!" with the Lich. They have low physical armor, so your melee and hunter characters should have an easy time if you can take them down in their turn order

It took me a couple tries to get this part right, as the window where the soul jars visibility is quite small.
