He wasn't dead when i arrived, i only noticed he was dead after i finished a few quests before visiting him again, the quests which i did before my revisit were as follows, just in case it may help clarify
The Doctor's/Lohse's quests
Last Stand Of the Magisters
Secret of the Dwavers (investigated the wedding ceremony only)

Hmm, just guessing. Maybe he can be found earlier in the game and you did something to get him killed. its just a thought. Its something to investigate^^

Is/was he the polymorph vendor? Of course the one skillbook vendor I need is the one that dies. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game man. Act 4 is trash.
