Can not be lockpicked in classic either ( post definite edition patch ). And it seems only one of the connected ones yes.
this exactly. i got them and was like this isnt worth it. my armor i had equipped was way better at this point
Sure, but i find Eternal Whisp to be pretty neat on my archer.
For the connected cases, you can only ever open one. Both contain mediocre gear but the one on the left contains Lord Ruaney's Britches, which have good bonuses (all I care about), especially to initiative. So I ended up using it.
My main is still sporting the Vulture set and there's pretty much nothing that beats it for a huntsman. I rarely consider magic/physical armor when I'm choosing upgrades. I'd rather keep low level gear with godly stats or for a priceless ability, like Amulet of the Deep, which is only level 6 but makes you immune to being stunned. Its all about getting my attacks off first.
