Dual wield melee
Is anyone getting on well (especially tactician mode) with dual wield Warfare builds?

Everywhere I look it’s all 2h or sword and shield (like the first game)

Just curious as they were mediocre in dos1 as well.

I dunno, I heard bad stuff about dodge builds. Apparently the hit % of enemies is quite high, and builds with 80-90% dodge chance still get hit a lot.

it was my understanding that for tactician, the survivability added by sheilds passive/active is better and more flexable then just raw backstab damage (which can be at times hard to apply).

An item in the off-hand (second weapon or shield) means a second source of boni. So i prefer to go dual wield or sword and board over 2h-weapons.

They simply aren't as good as 2h. I've had a dual wielding warfare beast since the beginning and while he isn't awful, he isn't great either. Kind of the worst of both worlds. Very squishy with mediocre damage. Go for a 2h for the optimal build but a dual wielder is definitely doable

That’s what I thought.

Thanks for letting me know

Maybe very far in the game, where items get absurd, having x2 items instead of one will balance it out.

Jumping on this post. What is your opinion on dual daggers? For scoundral, necro poly char. I cant decide if it has meh damage or i just havr bad daggers. All in is nice with backstab at least

Dual wielding is for fashion

wut?
dual wield is the best damage dealing option. 2 handed doesn't scale so great as duals.
dual daggers and scoundrel skills make a great damage.
add Wits and you're the god of Phys damage.

or you all play with two "magic schools" as in first D:OS?

Not a great idea. Scoundrel really needs a ton of dex investment and necro needs some solid int investment if you plan on using any of the damage spells. Splitting attributes will generally hurt a rogue more than other classes

The second hand misses often, and backstab was nerfed. Plus I dont think the post was about daggers mainly.

Either way unless you go all in on strength + warfare + dual wield or all in on dex + scoundrel + dual wield the damage will be underwhelming. To play a solid dual wielder you dont have much wiggle room

Mostly using it for the summon tbh.but im pretty much going 90% dex 10% int. The scoundral and poly are my focus

Could work. Just note that the bone widow will be good but not great. Without any summoning it wont be phenomenal

I dont mind, was going to go scoundral aero but thought necro would have less int reliant spells.

Blood corse is pretty sick an aero mage in the group tho. Explode in cloud of blood now stun
