Rune Frames + Rune Combinations List
Hello folks.

So I started getting more and more rune frames later on in the game, and decided to try out all the different combinations for runes and frames, both Mystical and Of Power.

Results were interesting.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_2xeeaT1S63CWT6TUGp7JZb7qfnB1-plQBn6d-LFyu0/edit?usp=sharing

Some conclusions:
1) For some reason runes of frost and thunder switch resistances while framed, no clue if this is intended and wha tis the logic behind it.
2) Damage scaling on various rune types is different when framed. Fire scales teh worst while mastercraft scales extremely well.
3) Unique items with 3 sockets become incredibly valuable in the late game, since you can get 12 stats in them.

There is more, combine your Eternal Artefact's with your Armor/Weapons/Jewelry. Adds even more stats. Though you have to test, different Artefact's combine with different type of items.

Like the text post states, this was purely about runes and frames. I did not try to cover teh entire crafting and combination system.

Ultimately what makes runes so powerful and therefore this information more useful, is that you can resocket old gems into your new gear, whereas upgrading weapons with artifacts is a one way ticket.

Thanks for the doc, it's very clear and the information is much needed!

Much appreciated, captain. You saved 2 hours of my life. Mystical part is really... complicated.

Here are some combinations for each class

Ranger
Weapon → Mastercraft + Mystical → WIT+3 & Physic Damage
Armor → Rock + Mystical → Warfare+1 & Earth Res
Armor → Venom + Power → FIN+3 & Poison Res
Armor → Thunder + Power → FIN+3 & Water Res
Amulet → Venom + Power → Finesse+3 & Accuracy

2H
Weapon → Mastercraft + Power → STR+3 & Physical Damage
Armor → Rock + Mystical → Warfare+1 & Earth Res
Armor → Mastercraft + Power → STR+3 & Physic Armor
Amulet → Venom + Mystical → Necromancer+1 → Accuracy

Mages
Weapon → Flame + Power → INT+3 & Fire Damage
Weapon → Frost + Power → INT+3 & Water Damage
Armor → Flame + Power → INT+3 & Fire Res
Amulet → Flame + Poer → INT+3 & Crit Chance

* Armor Runes for Physical Characters - Earth resistance on armor is not that good, but Warfare+1 bonus is too good for physical characters.
(edit)I was wrong. In the case of 4P party,
around level 15~20, marginal gain from STR+1 is 1.4~1.7%
when Warfare is 10, marginal gain from Warfare+1 is 3.3%
So STR+3 is better than Warfare+1.

* Amulet Runes for Physical Characters - This seems to be case by case except 1 Venom Rune for 100~105% accuracy.

Let me know if there're other good combinations.

Thanks, but I know the basic recipes. I was talking about Giant Rune + Power or Mystical choices.

You might not think it, but from the end of act 2 onwards, you start to cap out on main stats like str, and espically for your warfare damage dealers, that +1 str/finess matters a HELL of a lot. 1 str on a 2h warfare lone wolf warrior for example with a decent weapon is like +20 damage or so. it is completly insane.

Which is the same list what OP had linked. I'm talking about which Combination of Runes+Mystic/Power fits perfect for which class.

Not complaining or something though. Sorry if my English was vague, and thank you for trying to help :)

Not to sound like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but that list wasn't there when I started creating the doc. I don't know whether they did their own research and added it to the wiki or used mine, but no info on this sunject was available at the time the original post was made.

Thanks for the info, your doc is easier to read than the wiki anyways in my opinion.

I have updated this for the latest patch as of June 2018, (although I have only used the giant runes so its incomplete) let me know if you are interested in updating that doc

Sure, if people are still using it I don't mind updating it. Thanks for your work
