Click the waypoint button by your map and then teleport to the dunes or something. He teleports with you.

The thing is, as soon as I click any character this "idiotic" npc starts following him. I just reloaded the 15th times because this npc is not following commands and constantly runs into other guards and starts complaining that I didnt rescue him! This is soooo ******* annoying!

Just teleport to a waypoint outside of town as soon as he starts following for instant completion. Not worth the trouble of trying to do it legitimately.

Personally I circled around the back of the factory to the left (pretty much where higba originally is), got into a scuffle and killed one magister, and then found a shallow path through the river, going through there finished the quest.

Also, you can directly control Higba like with any follower/familiar.

Yes, I found this path thru the river by accident aswell. It was so horrible funny that I tryharded to kill every guard in the citiy before I found it. ;)

I'm on this quest now. Trying the pyramid scheme. Yup, it works!

You can use your group to distract (talk to) each of the roaming persons on the left landing stage outside. There are two magisters and one dwarf. Then Higna can sneak past them, climb down the ladder and cross the river before the palisade starts.

You can easily leave by going to the left side of the docks, there's a guard there, but wait till he turns to climb the ladder and run past him FAST, he will start chasing you but don't worry, just keep running until you leave the city and Hagna will start a dialogue and the guard will not try to catch him anymore.

That's how I did it too.

I just ran straight through the guards, one then started to chase my party, but could never catch up, then the guard just turned away and ran back after Higba turned into a barrel again outside the city.

Distraction is part of the game. As long as the Magister's back is turned, they won't see him. Get a companion to quickly get them into conversation a distance away from where you're going, tell your companion who Higba is following to go the direction you want and out of view.

Then QUICKLY snap back to the companion having a chat to keep the conversation going, eyeing the mini-map of your others position. This way, the guard stays occupied explaining himself, unaware his job just slipped out from under his nose.

Don't. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this guy with a passion. I reset so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times and eventually got him out via the fisherman's beach. He hid in the barrel and wouldn't move his ass. The frogs engaged me in a fight and he somehow got hit by collateral enemy damage and decided he would attack ME for it. I was so enraged I slit his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ throat and took all his ♥♥♥♥. NecroLord has the best solution. The guy is a piece of crap not worth the effort.

There is no downside killing some magisters here, extra loot is good. Unless you really want to roleplay.
