Dyes and Bags
hello, can anyone tell me if you can dye any kind of helmet(couldnt in first game) and do bags allow you to carry more or are they still just for sorting, but serve no statistical purpose?

Bags are just for sorting. They aren't magical weight reducers.

Dyes are in game but haven't been able to figure out any way to actually use them.

In first game you needed to have certain skill in crafting, then use a dye and armor in an anvil

Nobody has tried dying helmets? Really? Has anybody dyed any armor?... Also are the pants/greeves equip slot replaced by a belt slot? Hard to tell from screenshots. I'm on the verge of buying but would like to know these things beforehand.

no there is a pants slot and a belt slot. and i haven tried dying. i dont pay that much attention to what my gear looks like, just what its stats look like

Dyes dont work at all. There's no crafting skill this time around. All you need is the ingredients to craft things. No skill requirements. Combining dyes with anything doesn't work.

There's a belt slot and a pants slot. (also gloves, boots, necklace, 2 ring slots, helm and chest)

Helms aren't dyeable, but are hideable at least.

dyes only work on potions. that's all. but it's ok - armor in DOS2 is just spectacular

They're called Fabric dyes. why would they work on potions? and why would you want to dye a potion?

i know, right?
but still, i'm telling you: you can only die health potions and poison potions. after dying health potions look like poison potions and poison potions look like health potions.
no joke

Must be to troll other players. "Here have this *ahem* healing potion...."

Thats really stupid they took dying armor out. Why the hell do devs do this in sequels? Why remove awesome features? I love customizing my equipment, so looks like im sticking with OSEE for now. Devs need to add this in for all eqipment, or at least a modder do it. So stupid... what a bumber!

Are you seriously not going to get the sequal because you cant dye equipment? That is NO reason not to play this game, it is much better than the first one, except the music. The music is just ho hum, no where near the level the first one was at.

LMAO! ...obviously it is a reason, because I didn't buy it like I planned, mostly because of this. I'm not obligated to do ♥♥♥♥, so chill out. The AMAZING(yes in caps, it's that awesome) 'Crafting Overhaul' mod added Dyeing back in and has made so many other needed changes, thus I have decided to pick the game up Friday, when I get paid.

The red dye can be combined with poison to make healing potion. Yes it is strange.
TyrantLyzardKyng Oct 25, 2017 @ 12:09am
well... i can't complain about that... I guess lol. Thx for the hint. I recommend having the crafting spreadsheet up in the background to referrence, when needed.
