Cursed Revenant enemies bugged?
[ Minor Spoilers ]

So I'm in Arx and I'm trying to work this bit when you go to the Lizard Consulate out, I've already googled it and it doesn't look like people have answers yet as to why the cursed revenant you encounter keep respawning.

Supposedly the answer is to bless the fire and get rid of it, I've tried this a number of times through different methods. I've either blessed the fire completely and made it blue, this didn't let me permanently kill them and I've tried removing the places where there is fire entirely. However for me at least it doesn't seem to matter where these annoying ♥♥♥♥ers get killed because the theory was that you kill them in their original spawn point, they still keep coming.

Worse still when you get rid of the flame they magically create it again and the cycle starts all over because I end up running out of source points. Before you all say anything, I'm on explorer difficulty, the easy mode, I have no trouble killing these things generally but they seem to simply not die and I'm wondering if this is a unique bug people have all found.

Is anyone else having this issue? Let me know, I've not had any problems playing through so far until I came to this area.

they spawn in necrofire, theres a spot near the office where necrofire is in the wall and unblessable, use tornado

Ugh. This is an annoying bug. If it wasn't already super annoying (and tedious!) to clear out every damn corner of necrofire with bless and the tornado, they seem to respawn at non-targetable locations. Hope they fix this soon.

Ah, thanks guys, that explains it then bit annoying, here's to hoping it gets patched at least, will try the tornado thing and see if it works.

The whole consulate is so trollish. I personally just ran away and avoided fights because it was getting too absurd.

Some parts of the game feel like nobody actually tested the game before release it's a bit scary. And I can easily name at the very least 3 important battles (this one, one major audio bug in the blackpits, and one puppet fight at the end being beyond absurd and annoying as hell)

I didn't mind the blackpits because even though it was tough the enemies died properly and acted like you expected them to. The damn revenants though just keep respawning infinitely and it looks like it's just a bad design oversight than anything else. The rest of the game for me at least has been pretty flawless so far even the bits that got challenging.

This really need to get fix there are like 20 post of this same bugged LIMIT the damm range of their resurrection this is beyond foolish...

There's supposed to be a new patch coming, hopefully it will be fixed when they release it.

Only works if you have a metamporh, but you can cleanse that fire with terrain transmutation, at least that worked for me. Just move the terrain with the cursed fire outside of the column and that's it.

It shouldn't be this stupid, new patch in, still ridiculously complicated to kill three of these things when they easily go down, I'm inclined to agree with everybody else now. After doing some testing, the range of the respawn is just too large, the cursed revenants are respawning up on ledges for ♥♥♥♥'s sake and even on the tiniest bits of cursed flame hidden away in a far off room to the point the camera actually blacks out when they day. So if you don't get rid of every little bit it starts all over again.

There's difficulty and then there's just thoughtless design, this particular portion of the map feels like it was done by someone entirely different who just didn't put as much care into it. Or maybe the original person had a bad day or something I don't know lol but it needs fixing.

Either reduce the respawn range Larian Studios, or put a limit on how many times these revenants can cast cursed arrow because they seem to be able to do it too fast, at the very least, limit the range to the rooms they're in so they can be killed rather than the whole building.

bs and not fun, not interesting...

Since this thread was bumped, I should probably mention, they seem to have semi-fixed it now, the revenants no longer spam cursed fire arrows but regular fire arrows so everything is a lot more manageable. However, the range on the respawn is still pretty ridiculous, they should maybe change the range based on the difficulty level chosen perhaps or just fix it entirely, when I was playing even though I managed to kill them the camera blacks out as it watched the revenant's turn because they're spawning that far away on a tiny square of cursed fire.

It is possible now to complete this bit, but whoever designed this thing, booooo -_-

I'm having this problem too, cleansed literally all of the cursed fire and then the revenant just respawned in a random spot where there wasn't any surface and created new cursed fire. Think I'll just run through it too, to hell with these idiots. Please patch it, Larian Games.

Really? It still happens to you? That sucks, my only thing was the respawn range, it looks like there is still some fixing to be done on this section, the thing is as well, what's more ridiculous is that the NPCs even though they aren't involved in the fight get completely dragged into everything. The guards, hell even the background NPC citizens, this is how I knew this bit of the game was totally broken.

It took me waiting for the NPC to all get killed and cleansing every little bit of cursed flame to get this bit done, but if they're still spamming cursed arrows sometimes that's pretty damn bad, the biggest problem is just the respawn range, they spawn in places they shouldn't and that's how the friendly guard NPCs and everybody else gets dragged into it.

Just came out of the fight - and closed the game after seeing what was beyond the portal - and want to share two things;

- Revenants still use Cursed Arrow (also drop it) - I guess the choice between FA and CFA is completely random, after reloading several times because respawn in tiny ass surfaces I couldn't pin down whether or not they spam FA or CFA

- grab yourself a book or drink or something to eat, get Tornado and spam it everywhere, wait for 10 turns cooldown, spam again, wait CD again, enter fight to cleanse last bits (because some areas can't be reached without entering fight)

Either they massively buff Tornado or they heavily limit respawn range. Then again, they would need to fix stuff in the first place. Inclination to finish this "game" keeps dropping.
The easiest way to take care of them is to teleport them outside of the consulate. If they can reach the first voidwoken corpse furthest from the entrance, then they will be far enough as to not spawn back, and teleport has a much better cooldown than tornado. My party was running 2 mages: each with tele and one with netherswap and it didn't take me much time at all.
