Tips for the Mordus boss fight?

Anyone have some advice on fighting Mordus down in the bug cave? I've learned that as soon as someone dies he morphs into that giant bug, and I almost burned him down before he changed but I sadly had one of my members died. But this fight is hard.

My party consist of fane who has pyro and geo as well as hydro for some heals.
Iren or whatever the archer guy
The red prince with sword and shield along with geo
And then mine who is a two handed warrior with poly.
I'm also at level 10 but almost at 11

You can start talking with him and while you're doing that, have a character that has teleport and pull it away from the other mobs to somewhere you can ♥♥♥♥ stomp the little prick.

The biggest problem is his heals from poison (which the slaves shoot constantly). If you can work around that, he is actually pretty easy.

Well he actualy can turn in spider thing even if no one is dead by consuming source essence,so you can try to keep him in costant cc (but i never be able to do it, at some point he turned anyway) with him could be helpfull any summon scroll (the one what can help you a lot is located in Siva home (where you perfom the ritual) cause is do a lot of aoe poison dmg. Then if you have some charm (spell/grenade/arrow) or frensy you can use it on only one dwarf without magic shield (in 2 round he can bring a lot of dmg), and do first attack (teleport) from farthest position you can get in sneaking. at least for me all that things have worked fine

Sorry to kinda hijack the thread but... where is mordus? I swear ive searched every inch of wreckers cave.

Charm doesn't work on them, at least in tactician mode.

If you have a high enough thievery level you can lockpick your way into his sanctum in his house in driftwood and take away the source of his power. This will considerebly weaken him in the caves.

Carefull though, his house has a pretty hard fight prepared for you too.

I'd argue that fight is harder, but perhaps others will disagree. It probably depends on your build.

after the void thing kidnapped you, the ladder is located in a shipwreck, is easy to miss because you actualy need to go in to the ship for see it, and at first look it seems as you can't go there

He has low armor and magic armor for me. Maybe its because I free'd the lich in his house, but once thats down you can just run a CC train on him. Terror, charm, knockdown, and frozen all work on him.

if ou ignore the possesed dwarfes and just focus-zerg Mordus this fight should be rather easy (especialy compared to his "power source").

Remove his magic armor, charm him, and watch him go ham on his own servants.

I reduced his physical armor quickly, then I turned him into a chicken! Ah!

I just can't bring him down before he turns into the bug, with full strength. I think that's the dumb part.

This is proving to be a really annoying fight.
