Remove the fire from historian

How ? I tried Rain and Bless the water around him but didn't work, also try flesh sacrifice and bless the blood

Any tips ?

Bleed a party member, Tp him into the Blood then wait for, the Hellfire to go out then bless him

Cast rain of blood, bless the puddle under him. Worked for me at first try.

hurt party member > bless blood > teleport historian in the blessed blood.

The gargoyle makes a joke about how braccus rex would put out fire, which suggests it's something creepier than water. I think that's the only hint.

Hmm, i don't have the Rain of Blood skill

You can craft it by combining a hydro skill book with a necro one but honestly, historian is worthless. You're not missing much if it does not work.

I'm wondering the same thing. I was stuck for an hour trying to figure it out and after getting pissed looked for solution here. I've tried blessing him but it did not work w/o blood obviously. How the hell people figure out this combo really wonders me, because I checked all the books and haven't found any mention or tip.

Also it's kinda pointless, because reward for saving him are just few lines of chat.

IIRC there was a mention somewhere (book?) about braccus and his love of curses/blood/soulforging, so I tried bleeding on him. That put out the fire, but he was still cursed so I blessed him.

Edit: a portal opens up nearby leading to some meh treasure if you break the curse

I've figured it out.

Blood douses hellfire. You can bloodsacrifice near him and teleport him onto blood.
Wait after he gains cursed, then bless him. This will remove the curse.
