Flesh Sacrifice cost increases
So I have noticed that Flesh Sacrifice is costing more and more Constitution every few levels (currently at -4Cos). Will there be a benefit to it like +2ap or will the cost just get higher and higher with no benefit. Because this makes my Mage basically unable to use shields and it cuts way to much Hp on my Rogue.

I've always tried to save it for a finishing move so that it doesn't matter much how much the cost is so long as I had the AP to take down the enemy that turn.

Well I did not notice up until now and used it as my opening skill to use together with Haste. So it makes a little dent into my strategy for future fights.

It's really ridiculously annoying on a shield user which has just enough constitution to equip it.

And no it's always the same benefits for increasing cost. I'm at -6 at lvl 20 currently which is lovely.

I don't understand why they've made the cost increase with no benefits. Completely kills it's use in late game if you plan to use it on a caster. Seriously, can anyone explain the logic behind this?

just put living on the edge on your caster. Suddenly con doesn't matter and they can blast away with a damage increase.

since 10% dmg is more on higher levels is makes sense that it costs more

As your damage increases, it scales higher with the percentage. So a level 5 character might gain 20 damage while a level 20 would be gaining multiple hundred. The CON increase is there to keep the downside level with that of the upside. People probably don’t think much of it as I’m guessing most people use it for the AP, the damage being a side bonus. I’m not 100% sure, but I’m gonna guess the 10% boost is done after damage is calculated and applied to that amount. So it’s quite a big deal later on.

Might want to elaborate more on this. Seems like an expensive way to get a damage increase.

L2P issue if you're scared of con going lower and not one shotting enemies.

Yeah, defniately not worth it unless the caster of death resist can't deal respectible damage. I've built memory mains that this would be viable for, but more builds it'd be a waste of AP.

(necro ik but im talking about necro skills while playing a necromancer in dos atm so meh) you can prebuff with living on the edge, death wish, flesh sacrifice, and other various buffs to get such a ridiculous multiplier to your damage that it doesnt matter how little health you have when you one shot everything in the game.

True, though prebuffing isn't always an option for every fight. The OP is mostly referring to the loss of CON growing increasingly higher meaning that to keep their shield equipped, they'd have to dump more and more points into CON to make up for it so the shield doesn't unequip when using Flesh Sacrifice. The issue isn't about losing health, its about losing the equipped shield.

Effectively, elves can't use shields if they're using Flesh Sacrifice simply because it takes too much CON to maintain the shield late game. You'd lose too much damage stacking your CON that the damage gained from the spell doesn't make up for the damage loss caused by stacking CON instead of something damage focused.

Yes, you can just prebuff Death wish at 1HP and all that to one shot everything, but that's a different concept than what was being discussed here.
