Healing Ritual heals enemies?
Is this a bug or is it supposed to work this way? The description says that it's a healing bolt that jumps to nearby allies, but every single time I use it the bolt jumps to EVERYONE, including enemies.
Is it supposed to work this way and just is a REALLY bad description that should really say something like "jumps to everyone in the area" or is this a bug?

If that is happening then I'm sure it's a bug, not a feature.

Tats definitey a bug. I've seen it jump to Undead enemies before, which hurts them, but not living.

Every single time I go to use it in a battle it jumps to all of the enemies as well, regardless of if they're undead or not and healing them. Obviously if they're undead it's not an issue but it's a huge issue when I'm not fighting an undead enemy and have an entire skill I can't use unless I want to heal them.

So basically a completely useless skill for me right now. Awesome.

Oh well, awesome game and this is the first problem I've run in to with it but man it is an annoying one. One less healing spell my healer can use in battle, GG.

It was featured in one of the videos larian released on youtube (not sure which one). Showing that healing your allies and dealing damage to undead in one go was a viable tactic. So I think it is working as intended.

That's not what I'm talking about here though. I actually have an undead healer, and when he uses this spell it doesn't effect him at all, just the rest of my team and every single enemy regardless of their type. So it's not just "healing" (aka damaging) undead, it's literally healing my enemies.

I'm well aware of the tactic of using heal on undead enemies to actually harm them, but that's not at all what I'm addressing here. Something is messed up with this skill.

Shame, it makes this skill so situational that it's hardly worth wasting memory slots on. In other words; throw it in the pile of "sounds cool but not really useful skills" with provoke

I know, I just linked the video and time. NPC healing her allies and damaging the undead PCs in the same go (which would be healing if they were not undead).

Wierd, used healing ritual a lot and never had it heal enemies.

Ha so am I the only lucky one having this issue then?

Well, I posted about it in the board for gameplay issues, will see if any others chime in about having the same problem.

I wonder if it's because your healer is undead. A bug related to that perhaps? I'll have to test that theory later tonight.

Nope, it isn't that.
My healer is a Lizard, and he too is healing enemies with Healing Ritual, i.e. increasing the health of enemies who are not Undead, as per the OP.

Very irritating and a waste of gold buying the darned skill book.

Thank you for confirming this. I basically abandoned this spell completely which is very annoying when you have a character who you're basically trying to use mainly as a healer and now they're out one healing spell (and a very useful one at that).
