Crafting spears?

Hello all

Atm on my play through my current character is using a spear an all is good , however some reason shop keepers don't seem top sell spears an as a lvl 6 character using lvl 3 one I am starting to struggle damage wise so I was wondering how do u make one?

I know you can make a primitive spear ( crafted gear scales to ya level ) which ive done for now but it's still not that great .

I did mange to make a homemade sword by mistake i.e. Anil + Hammer + Scrap Metel when i was expiermenting an stat wise, it is a step up compare to its primitive stuff counter part.

Can't seem to find any guides on making spears apart from the basic stuff even tryed looking up the old DOS1 stuff but not much help either however if anyopne happens to know an would like to advise me I would be most greatful.
