Nameless Isles Questline help. *spoilers*
Spoilers ahead

I'm on the Nameless Isles questline and I'm trying to get the Decrepit Altar to react to me. I can't figure out what it wants.

This specific altar is the one that wants "blood and pain"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just spent a while trying to figure it out, hitting my companions etc. then I used the "cowl of true sight" which was given to me by Alexander. Used the special ability which comes with it on the wall behind the altar which looks like a door and it crumbled opening up the passage. hope this helps

I have eaten alexanders head, is there any other way to get in?

Cowl of true sight is the helmet you get from looting alexander.
It gives you the ability "dispel Illusion", use it to clear the rock blocking the way inside.

Hmmm I let Alexandar live. Uh oh.

You need dispel illusion which is given to you by Alexander, He gives the "Cowl Of True Sight" which is a helmet/hood that has the ability attached to it, Or place alexander's head on the table if you decided to kill him before he tells you to kill the Shadow Prince.

Sigh ... I think I sold the cowl to one of the elf traders, who then attacked me after I killed the Heart of the Mother in the tree with Sebille, so I killed them all. I still have all these random rings and amulets that were parts of quests cluttering up my bags that it won't let me sell; why would it let me sell the cowl if it was needed for something?? That's the entire reason I sold it, because it let me and it didn't let me with other important stuff. Also, ate Alexander's head, so that's out. That's really dumb that it lets you get to a point where you can't progress at all.

I've never had anything not let me sell. I'm not sure that the game does that.

Me neither. It's sometimes handy to keep unique items, you never know where they might come in handy. The game is full of that kind of stuff. It's part of what makes it good.

It really shouldn't amaze me how people keep doing dumb things like this. Special quest item given specifically to me for a quest while told how special the item is? S**t, better sell this thing because I only have 150,000 gold and I might need that extra 2,000.
