Lohse's *Inner Friend's* Voice Has Changed? [SPOILER]
I just started loading older saves after completing the game and it seems that now demon speaks with female voice in Lohse's mind, while if I remember correctly he was speaking with his 'normal' male voice while I was playing the game for the first time. Am I right, or am I wrong? If former is the case, then that's cool. I was wondering in the first place why demon speaks with his actual voice, it made it too obvious that he is EVVVIIIIL. Too bad I've already finished the game before this change. Although I must say I miss hearing him, because his voice actor did much better job with the voice. I wonder what made developers put the wrong voice in the first place and what made them change it. It's quite interesting they've made so much dialogue for him and so much work just got removed from the game.

Is it possible the VO is different on different play throughs? The narrator for example is male for me but I read several reddit posts where people claim the narrator is the woman who voices the old lady who destroys the ship in the beginning of the game. I had no idea wtf they were talking about.
I've experienced it both ways. I think he also changes back to his true form midway through game. Maybe it has to do with how accepting you are of his offers.

Something that bugs me is that some of the dialogue doesn't allow me to choose a response. Like, if I choose 1. Then 2. 3. 4. show up until all I have left is the fourth answer. So I didn't really get to pick what to say. Hope that made sense.

Doesn't that only happen in relation to question trees? In your example, responses 1, 2 and 3 are requests for information, and 4 continues the dialogue. I've never been actually blocked from making a decision before.

High Judge Orivand narrates only one cutscene at the start of Fort Joy, but Windego narrates every other cutscene. I'd love to know how you ended up with a male narrator the whole way through, though. How far are you into the game?

I'm talking specifically about the ingame narrator who does ingame cutscenes not the animated sequences between acts.

It's been a man throughout the entire game.

I am playing as Lohse, in the last chapter. This is my first time through so I don't know about the past. But this what I have found:

I have heard both voices so far. Inside her head, it has her voice. However,

It has spoken out loud with a man's voice using Lohse's mouth at least once, possibly twice.

So it is both.

Yeah, they changed it like a month after the release of the game, and as one of those people who played as Lohse on release I definitely feel quite cheated now. I don't know why they decided to do this, but it pisses me off to no end that they made a change like that AFTER releasing the game.

I personally find it immersion breaking and extremely disrespectful towards the original VA, who made the character he was voicing interesting for me. Lohse's VA is cute and all, but can't sound menacing/authoritative no matter how hard she tries.

What's more, this change wasn't announced anywhere in any of the patches, so it looks to me like an attempt to sweep something they didn't think was important to the fans under the rug.

Damn that's sad. Can I get old VA back somehow?

Afraid not. Unless someone decides to mod his voice back into the game.

That is truly unfortunate. No offense for Loshe's VA but the Demon's VA really made her unique story stand out.

It wasn't a question tree. It was set up as one, but it was asking you to make a choice, then answering you, then giving you the same options. It was like a loop until you answered what it wanted you to. The answers were not for more information, they were end state questions. I should take a screen shot because its hard to explain.

Example: Q: Do you want to break up? A: No lets stay together Q:Oh thats good! Options to respond: same as initial options.

The demon has breasts. That's probably why they removed the male voice. Anyway does voice really matter? Do you really think lizards should be talking like C-3PO?

Yes, a characters voice matters, especially since it was apparently changed.

He still has his male voice, just not inside Lohse's mind. And even there at some parts his voice changes to male one.

ADRAMAHLIK is dead on my game currently, but he spoke as a man every time since the begining of the game

Didn't read this change in Patch Log
