Thievery/lockpicking
anyone else thinks that this skill is kinda OP?
I mean if you take it pretty much every locked door in the game can be opened the moment you get there.
I feel like you lose a lot of sense of finding the key to progress through the mysterious door instead you just open

And pickpocket gives you somuch money you dont even know what to do with all that money .
Didnt even use pickpocket after the first half of the game because i had so much money i just bought everything i needed.

This game would be maddening without an undead thief.

I do agree with you on this point. Thievery is kinda op and makes key useless but well, it still only give some loot (not unique loot btw). In comparison persuasion gives you more freedom in story choices and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of exp.
On the other hand we got telekinesis, sneak and barter that are pretty useless

There are enough nails in Act 1 docks to make nearly 100 lockpicks which is all you need for the rest of the game.

Barter is not useless, you save so much money, like hundreds of thousands of gold over the whole coarse of the game. Personally I didn't steal anything, used theivery only for locks. So much time wasted stealing crap. Lucky Charm is MVP when it comes to Civil abilities.

Okay barter isnt "useless" because it helps you save some money but hey, so does persuasion and after act 1, money isn't ever a problem in the game even if you dont have any barterer nor a lucky charmer or loremaster.

Given the time investment to avoid being caught etc. I don't think it is OP. Plus it is a semi-entertaining activity.

In DOS 1 I suppose it was OP originally -- enough people complained, it was nerfed, and many art thieves went broke. :-/

Money isn't a problem after Act 1? Mmm do you play with a party of 4 or lone wolf, because I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Act 2 is the only time you actually do need money.

I have ran a 4 man honour build to the end and ended up rich AF without bartering even by spending money like a tard in arx and am actually running a lone wolf honour build (im at nameless island)
Dont get me wrong, if you like to buy tons of stuff every lvl barter is probably worth. But if like me you only spend for books (wich can often be crafted) and exceptional items, then barter may be a wast of civil points

Yeah it is overpowered but I think it's up to the players if they want to bypass doors, chest or money problems by stealing.
