Damian, Zandalor, Lucian... and the Timeline ::
Okay, I'm somewhat confused about where everyone is in DOS2.

As far as I'm aware, DOS2 is set after Damian's banishment (how fickle the Black Ring are to have already sworn oath to the God King...), but before (obviously) his return.

Therefore, is Lucian not still alive and well at the time of DOS2? Why are we getting a new Divine when we still have one here?

I say this because, clearly Damian isn't around. This game is apparently set 1200 years after DOS, therefore would be roughly around the time of Damian's banishment. Damian isn't around, but people already hate him, so clearly he's not still a child...

Zandalor... where is he? So involved in everything to do with the world but can't be bothered to show up when all the world is threatened and the Gods are being killed by the Void (good riddance in my opinion, nasty buggers).

Lucian... where is he?

Excuse my potential ignorance, I haven't played all of the Divinity games, only a few, but I've done some 'research' on the events of the ones I missed.

Also... Alexandar is such a disappointment. Sure, he's no world ender like his brother, but at least Damian is a cool guy.

You should finish the game. At least one of your questions will be answered.
Unless you want to have it spoiled, that is.
Several of these things are answered in game. Also Alexander is a bit cooler than you think, but again, you are gonna need to finish the game. DOS2 takes place 4 years after Beyond Divinity.

What Radden said. You *really* don't want to spoil it for yourself.

Alexandar got his head eaten... Not looking so cool from my perspective.

Also, no... if it involves spoilers and my questions (or some of them at least) will be answered soon enough, then I'll find out.

Note too that this is before Beyond Divinity and Before Dragon Saga...
Zandy guy isn't really mentioned, so if there is an answer on that one I'm not aware of it.
(Other than the lore in those games where I think Zandy goes into hiding (prior) but the timeline is off)
As for the rest...Enjoy :)

Sad to hear that. If you had let him live you could of had him join your party for the last part of act 3

The timeline was changed during early acess, but isn't posted on the KS page or the wiki. Its 4 years after Beyond Divinity, not before.

It still should be before Dragon Saga which really is what matters. (since that is really the only meeting of consequence of Damian - and his world order) But thanks.

Mkay, so Damian is out and aboot, but we're still before Lucian's "death" and the Dragon Knight / Dragon Slayer war...

Anyway, I'll keep playing and hopefully we'll have some questions answered... hopefully.

Per Raze_larian:

Dragon Commander
Original Sin
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Divinity II

And Original Sin 2 is 4 yrs after Beyond Divinity in the timeline of the stories.

It is set 4 years after Beyond Divinity, so 24 years after Divine Divinity, 58 years before Divinity 2.

Ok ,so I'm not done with the game yet . But ,I highly doupt that OG2 takes place before Beyond . There's one quest near the Black Pit ( I don't know the english name of the zone with all the petrol) where you have to save a sourceler from magisters trying to make him come out of his house by putting the thing in fire .
*MINOR SPOILER*

So ,you can tell them that you'll go insinde and kill the guy . He has a black ring's sword and as a scholar ,you can tell him to give the sword ,so you can use the same trick Rhode used . Except Rhode is present in Divinity 2 , and if Divinity 2 takes place 60 years after Beyond ,I doupt Rhode would look the way she does . Also ,Lucian is pictured as a very old guy in OG2 whereas he is still in his prime in Divinity 2 .
There's also the fact that the death fog exist and we see some in Divinity 2 and we also meet with a dragon knight claiming to be the last one on Fort Joy
My guess is that OG2 takes place after Divinity 2 ,and way after ,maybe 40 or 60 years after . The big issue is that in Divinity 2 ,there seems to be only humans , you meet with one imp and one elf ( I think ? It's been a while since I've played the game) .

Devs have already confirmed when it's set... so nevermind any of that.
Bishop Alexander is developed as a foil to Damian. Basically, Alexander is the opposite of Damian. Alexander's weakling cringy personna is used to highlight how much of a badass Damian is.

I think this is foreshadowing that Damian will be a part of the next game or additional content.
