Can you cure the silent monks?

Specifically I mean the ones in Gareths home, man is that freaking sad. But also in general, we know how they are created so I would assume its impossible, I mean, they had half their brains eaten out, there is no coming back from that.
That being said, we get to save that one silent monk the doctor is keeping in cellar, so whats that about.
I would like to know if it is possible somehow, anyhow so that I can keep my good guy persona, or if not, so that I can mercifully kill them in peace. Thanks :)

Once you have Source Vampirism and Ghost Sight, you can use Vampirism on their spirits and kill them in one, painless, attack.

Not exactly true, as you learn should you take a particular path at the ending. However, its really not a process you'd be able to do for random individuals. The process is one that takes a significant level of effort to do, that only very important individuals would be worth performing it for.

So practically its impossible, but technically it can be done. Just not for everyone.

No, he can't talk about it, not really. It's not something the player can do, or learn how to do.

u cannot cure silent monks but Malady can lol

They are too far gone. Best just put them down by vamping their Sources

they are far gone but like i said malady has the power to undo a silent monk. Because at the end of the game you become a silent monk u lose everything and who u were and malady turns u back to normal

They're just walking bags of XP, nothing less, nothing more. Cure them by relieving them of it and taking it for yourself.
