sebille questline broken?

So I need to kill the master with Sebille for her questline. She does not trust me enough to teach me her song, even though the only diaglogue options I get from her are to ask what we do now or to tell her to leave the party, so there's no way for me to make her like me more.

This means I end up losing her permanently if I try to confront the master, and I also cannt skip this and go through the lunar gate unless I want to leave her as she wants to kill the master first...

Any suggestions?

Did you do the quest with the mother tree ?
Have you romanced her ?
I was also blocked in her quest, but i did the 2 things above and she then thrusted me enough to unlock the rest.

Origin quests are pretty easy to fail if you don't do all the steps carefully...

Try killing him without her on screen / close and then talk to her?

Long shot, but works for earlier quests.

If she doesn't trust you enough at this stage, you're going to lose her soon anyhow.

well I can't kill the tree without an item from the shadow prinbce from what I've read. There's no option to do anythign when I talk to it and trying to attack it did nothing. So it seems I must kill the shadow prince, but i cant do that without sebille drying.

I can't romance her either to get her to like me more as she gives me no dialigoue options

Did you kill roost? I didn't do the tree before the prince, she taught me the song at the start of act 3 from memory, although I enjoyed the character so I spoke to her a lot not that it would matter tbh, did you disagree with her a lot? It could be blocked by aptitude

You don't need anything to kill the mother tree, did you try to press control (or shift, i don't remember) plus right click on the heart ? It worked for me. I just attacked it and the fight engaged alone, no dialogue, no items.

She didnt trust me either. I didnt do the mother tree but managed to romance her right at the door to divinity after the other two companions left me, and taught me the song. I thought it was a bit desperate on her part because she also begged me to go back and help her find the master before going through the door.

Ok I was able to kill the tree by attacking the scion and that seems to have completed that part of the questline. Still no bloody song tho, just the same old 'what do we do now' or 'bugger off' dialogue options

Did you talk to Saheila after killing the mother tree ?
If you really can't get her song, maybe you didn't rise your kindness with her enough through the game. That feel bad and you can't know about it but that's how it works...

yeah i spoke to her anbd the rest of the elves turned me on for killing thier tree.

I had the same problem. I ended up going in without Sebille, and when I initiated a fight with the Shadow Price (for his heart) I walked in with Sebille in the start of the fight, no issues there. (but I didn't get the cool event with countering his song tho)

But what I learnt too late (at the door of the Council) is that you can respec to have 5 in Persuasion. That will increase the attitude to with 25 (5 each point in persuasion) to all companions. You can add to that again with gear to get more attitude ^^ Mine increased with Sebille from 27 --> 52, and when attitude is over 50 she is a close friend. She then taught me the Scar song (lol, Shadow Price already dead for me), and she didn't argue with the Divinity, she handed it to me.

NB: The dialog with the scarsong will not initiate right after you increased the attitude using persuasion. This dialog can be triggered manually by kicking her out of the group, and going back to Lady Vengeance and recruit her back in. She should now get the yellow exclamation mark above the head, and wanting to kiss you deeply multiple times #romancedher

TL:DR: Respec to persuasion 5 (or more with gear traits), check to see of attitude is over 50. A yellow exclamation mark will appear above her head in the near future events, or trigger it manually by kicking her out of the group and recruiting her back in at the Lady Vengeance.

How do you romance her before divinity tho?

i have 100 attitude with her and 5 persuasion, did kick her and invite, it wont trigger, any idea?

Hmm, then I have no idea, you have done everything else in her quest up until that point, right? Cause that is essential ^^ She should get the exclimation mark above her head when entering a new area/fast travel. But I also got it workin with the kick, and invite back at Lady Vengeance. Exclimation mark popped up immidiately. So if it doesn't do that for you, there must be something prerequisite you have to do first. Im sorry, I can't help any more on the matter :/
