Mordus Basement HELP PLS - No Skull on wall

Hi,

I've searched all over the web... i may be the only person w/ this problem. I've killed Mordus. I have the eye, that is supposed to unlock an ornate skull on the wall next to the secret passage in Mordus's basement. In my game, there IS NO SKULL on the wall where it's supposed to be. I've looked at screen shots, I know where it is supposed to be - not there. Am I missing something that is supposed to trigger the appearance of this skull?

The only skull is the small bust in the secret room. I wondered what the red gem is for, though.

That statue is not of a skull.
