where to find Gwydian ?

So i first walked through the blackpits and now i got a quest to search for Gwydian near blackpit... i klled all the magisters and saved the family at the house ...but i cant find him... so where is he?

Right near where you saved the family is a wooden gate, guarded by some magisters, behind it are some wooden platforms, he should be on top of them with a named magister if I remember correctly, it starts a pretty long fight with a lot of blobs.
