playing early with vpn?

title says it all. will it be possible to play it early with vpn?

edit: before somebody asks, it was always ok to play/activate games with vpn, just buying with vpn is against the terms of service.

The time of release is on larian's FB page and it is: Thurs 10:00 PDT · it would of been nice if they had of used GMT UTC the game is international
10 am PDT is 7 pm (19:00) CEST or GMT+2. So it's just standard steam release time for most games.

so as usual europe is fu**** in the ***** again....

Or if there is worldwide release (for example 12am wordlwide) as mentioned earlier, you can use vpn. But as far as i know that is not the case with DOS2.

It does not. I mean it's the same time from now to you and for me. It's not like you need to wait longer. You need to wait 1 day 8 hours and 23 minutes just like everyone else.

Yeah but it'll be very late at night, not the time I have a chance to play? I don't have to wait longer for release, however to play is a different story. You seem to have a little bit of a problem interpreting that.

Some companies still realease games at midnight in each timezone, i live on the dateline so i've had multiple games release 12 or more hours before some places in america.
Its up to the devs/publishers and Valve does what its told.

having said that i havent heard these guys give a midnight release promise for any given timezone so im expecting it wont be for at least another 8-12 hours like most games.

the vpn thing is usually only useful for getting the american release time for something being delayed by aus/european release windows

America is usually tuesday, Australia is thursday and the UK is friday.

so using a vpn in australia gets you the game very late tuesday or wednesday morning.

thats the only time that strategy works in australia. for americans (the tail end of the dateline) using a VPN to play games at Australia's or New Zealand's (the front end of the dateline) gets you playing nearly a day earlier than retail.

however in this new age of digital distribution most things are launched digitally at the same time globally so timezones are meaningless...this game falls into this category

Im really sorry for you :( You get up in the morning, and the game is already few hours old and thus too lame and old to be played. And yet you need to pay for it anyway so your friends don't get an up on you.
