So I have both pieces, But Tarquin was being a whiny b*tch and I decided not to give the two pieces to him, now hes even more of a whiny b*tch. I'm already in Arx, is it to late to use these pieces to make the item?

Are we talking the parts for anathema? Tarquin finally put them together in Arx for me. If you already convinced him not to take them, and he refuses to talk about them, you may have locked yourself out of the quest. But try talking to him with a companion instead of your main.

I basically told him, I don't trust you; I'm keeping the pieces. And he was not that happy. Which made me even less inclined to give them to him. Yeah thats what we're talking about, now that I know about it I want him to make it. But the only dialogue I get is "blah blah blah But SOMEONE didn't help me find the pieces, so now we're SOL" . But I have both pieces in my inventory.
