Wasn't Magic Armor suppose to negate magic Crowd Control?
Like Frozen, burning, etc? I'm constantly being frozen while my Magic Armor is full.

Do you have Glass Cannon?

Also is the fire etc. cursed? Some of the cursed effects work through armor.

From what I've played it seems like the enemy can smash through your armor in seconds while it takes multiple turns to remove theirs. Personally think the combat in this game is beyond awful and that the first was fine. Armor system is stupid and broken.

I think it's more temporary. Like if you drop Winter Storm on them, then rain. They'll all be frozen for a turn. I'm not sure.

No, cursed effects bypass through armor completely all other effects only work if you remove armor first. The problem comes when the enemies constantly have much higher armor than your party and so can break through it extremely quickly.

I guess it was cursed ice or something, my character took 1 step on it and froze, full Magic Armor, my next chaacter same thing. Fighting the Void Devourer and Predators in Arx.

Like its to the point where the AI just get to play the game for me, because my characters are all CC'd with full Magic Armor, and I can't do anything for like 2 turns, and then they get frozen again for 2 more turns. And it repeats. I agree the combat in game 1 was better, this armor mechanic is odd, esp if you have mobs who completely bypass it for no real good reason.

I hate that armor system too. It is just forcing you to focus on one type of damage and hybrid builds are just useless. I liked more the combat system in Divinity 1 because you got rewarded for team variety and got punished when you focused on just one type of damage because sooner or later you will fight enemies that are immune to certain type of damage.

In Divinity 2 you can just have full party with physical damage and you will steamroll the whole game even in honour mode.

Doesn't affect slowing from oil or slipping on ice, no. Put nails in your boots for slipping or only cross it when you have Wings active.

okay thanks, I thought it helped all CC types from magic.

Nah, there are a few that can penetrate, but usually they're not the really bad ones. Entangle is the most annoying one, off the top of my head.

Enwebbed was annoying. constantly standing on it, making you stuck, take 1 step, stuck again lol. I feel like this game tried to add way too many mechanics to it. And a lot of those mechanics try to remove the PLAYER from PLAYING the game lol.
