Most of what you learn about him is in books around that area, otherwise, the rest (in the game) is about the others in the Order, or in general.
He's a bunch of xp and decent loot though, so don't skip it.
Though, I find he is the hardest fight in fort joy. Try get yourself to level 4 and come back to him imo.
perhaps the dungeons or arena has the exp you seek.
I honestly can't give enough praise to this game. I enjoyed The Witcher 3 but that doesn't hold a candle to this game in my opinion.
I like the tactic you used. I certainly have had to do a few fights by leaving and coming back just like that. Glad mobs don't respawn eh XD
The game is pretty awesome. Glad you're enjoying it!
Continue enjoying it and best of luck.
Though I think the Divinity version is more vicious and evil.
But I think its intended to demonstrate and make you see what "curing" actually means.
I came in from the dock side, planted Fane and Lohse in the middle upper section and red prince and my main at each step.Needless to say the magistrate casters got wrecked by Lohse and Fane on their way. The soldier on the right kept getting shocked by electrified water. Judge got hammered by fane and Lohse on his way then may main teleported him in the water and left him shocked while Red Prince kept tanking the silent monk and other soldier on the other side. Lohse and Fane helping as required. Magistrate casters ended up not posing a threat and the Judge ended up weakened, shocked and then ganged on before he could do anything serious.
In this game I've already found that I'm more than happy to leg it with my tail between my legs if I feel it neccessary haha! It's saved me on a couple of occassions now.
Originally I wanted to play alone, seeing as I'm playing as and it would have no doubt have been easier to flee if you only have yourself to concentrate on, but I've picked up two companions (Sebille and Beast) to at least help me get off the God forsaken Island. I'm about to clear out Fort Joy I think before heading out into the remainder of the island to find the Seekers.
Appreciate your sentiments buddy! ^^
I truely hope you mean the easiest out of, him the houndmaster and the crazy pedo flayer.
If high judge Orivand was easier than say... Silence (stingtails assassin), I would not want to run into your group during my scripted magister cleansings.
Funny you should mention Origins (one of my absolute favourite games) actually as I was thinking earlier how much this game reminded me of it. From parts of the story to it's extremely well written companions and interesting gear that you can find that actually has a bit of back story. I enjoyed Original Sin Enhanced Edition a lot but one thing that did grate on me a little was that it was a little bit too silly in it's tone at times. This one balances out serious and silly much, much better, and is a much better game overall for it.
Took me a few deaths to bite my pride and realize that running is by far a better option in some circumstances.
i'd go with either 2 party members (with lone wolf talent) or 4 party members.
3 is just gimping yourself in a sense.
Handy tip, when you are certain you are leaving the area for good... Steal from the merchants, you can only pickpocket each NPC once bare in mind. So it is best to do so at the end of the area so you can claim your gold back.
I'm still learning how to manage my cyrrent party so confidence in them isn't high. Specially since gearing up has been a issue until level 7 where everyone was finally geared up to their level.
And it was more a panic reaction. Because by experience named foes are dangerous and caster foes can be a nightmare.
So the oh ♥♥♥♥ part was realizing the situation. Then... the ookay this was rediculously easy... bit.
The hardest and most brutal fights I had was the voiddemon and his army of skeletons which I couldn't position effectively against. Which I reloaded first time because I didn't like how things where going. And was saved by huddling under the elven source ability in the second go after bum rushing the geomancer skeleton.
And Kadera/Hadera keep forgetting her name. Again positioning was an issue and the hard hitting adds specially the beetles and no source points. She died first but focusing on her caused attrition which forced me to make red prince flee and return and finish iff the remaining beetles solo.
Thise where the two hardest but mostly for the fact that was only able to control the zombies and focused on keeping her disabled until death. And from getting swarmed and forced to huddle and focus with the void demon.
Just expected the judge to be a brutal fight as had no confidence in the party and the judge and co ended up humiliated. So yeah I'm still learning that my party struggles now and then but when properly set up they can wreck.
But otherwise everything else in the keep was... easy. Even the hound master turned out easy... so guess I need to be more confident in the party im using. Specially now that their starting to be able to stand on their own. Starting to consider giving Fane a shield also.... ended up giving Lohse a shield since everything just seems to know she's the healer/support.
The fact AI seems to be telepathic and know right away who to ignore and who to go after is the stupid bit that just complicates it.
