Anyone running the game with an i3-4160 processor?
Debating getting the game. Checked the system requirements and my CPU comes up lacking.
I've got an Intel i3-4160 instead of an i5. I do have the RAM beat with 16Gb over the recommended 4Gb, and I've got an nVidia 960 gpu. Was wondering if anyone else managed to run the game on a sub-par CPU. And if having more RAM and a better GPU might help make up for the CPU.

A bad cpu will make the game lag... A LOTT. Like it happened to me. Enemy calculating turns takes 10+ secs and sometimes up to 30 when it is suppose to take no time at all. And also inventory will lag. Your actions will lag.

I have an i7 920 and it rarely ever lags, you'll be fine. Having enough ram is the more important thing.

Just out of curiousity, how much RAM does your rig have?

I think with 16 gb ram youll be fine, but on highest graphics fps may be low/

Playing with C2Q 4gb ram

16 gb. But i think my graphics cards contributes to the problem too. That been said. If i play on the lowest settings it will still lag. Just not as much.

I wonder, did a comparison of the specs on our two CPUs. While yours is much older (6 years), the i7-920 has 4 cores and is capable of 8 threads. My i3-4160 only has 2 cores and 4 threads. Plus the 920's onboard cache is larger.

Time 2 upgrade. The latest i7 is not that expensive.

Not for people with decent jobs, but I've been living from one disability check to the next for years. (Got some serious health issues.) Plus my mobo is socket LGA 1150, not the newer 1151.
