How good is the humor?
During the dev there was a lot of talk about toning down the whimsical nature of the conversations etc....did they turn everything grim dark or is this something you can play after work and have a good laugh with?

Hmm, didn't that toned down to me, but it might be since the world is literally going to crap and everyone is a bit on edge.

There are plenty of funny stuff to find tho.

This game is a lot more serious. Most of the humor this time around comes from the Pet Pal talent. If you want a good laugh though, this game probably isn't going to scratch it.

I did laugh with the cows but they're right. This game is more along the serious vain.

Divinity OS 1 was a little too silly at times, especially the music. The music was so over the top rediculous sometimes that it killed my immersion.

This game is much better.

Personal Experience: I *really* dug the humor this time. It was much more meaningful as it was far more selective. Pet Pal is the bomb!

P.S. I'm playing some old divinity now with the corny humor and still admittedly get a chuckle from it. So it has it's place. This is just more evolved. Well done and Bravo, I say.

The story is pretty serious and has a bit more grounded base, but they didn't stop giving it moments that can be real laughs.

It's got plenty of shock moments, enough serious tone to keep you grounded, but all around, the humor you run into helps alleviate the chaos as you realize things are still happening outside your world shaking quest. Sometimes you gotta have a good gufaw to keep going!

I am very, very early but I get the impression Lohse is going to have plenty of amusing moments. That doesn't mean her story isn't serious of course.

yeah, if you want to fool around, play as Lohse. :D

all in all, comparing with the first one, this one is less funny, sort of. but nonetheless there's enough humor in it.

Ok good as long as it's not constant dread I'm fine with it.
