2m isn't that much though and absolutely pales in comparison to height advantage. Waste of a talent point.

Skills only if it is not a Melee or Touch range skill. Theoretically this should also work with Bouncing Shield and Battle Stomp as well.

Works on bows. Absolutely is not a waste of a talent point for a ranger. They don't need to do much except auto attack, so more range is an amazing bonus considering the other perks.

Its a really good skill to have on either a ranger or a elementalist as it can hit those targets that would normally be just out of range

Far Out Man is only useful for close/mid range mages because they must get close to enemies due to several close-range spells and Elemental Affinity.

Rangers always have to stand on the high ground, and it makes the LoS much longer than Far Out Man does. If the ranger can't hold the high ground, you'd better just choose another character anyway. I've played ranger with and without Far Out Man, and it makes no difference at all. It sounds good only in theory but doesn't actually make any difference.

I dont believe it counted in the alpha, but in full release, yes it does count and I made sure to grab it on my ranged character

There are several places where there are multiple high platforms and without Far Out you can not reach one from another. Far Out seems small, but several areas are designed to be just out of reach and Far Out makes the difference between locking down an enemy mage or archer and getting pummeled.

You can just use teleportation or nether swap on them, and 2H Knight or close range mages on the front line can do that work. Ranger should be busy to shred enemies on the first floor because high ground bonus provides 120~170% damage bonus. Far Out Man is neither essential nor efficient.

Based on what objective criteria? As far as I'm concerned, anyone who uses range is going to benefit from increased range. No matter how high your elevation, you're going to reach farther with than without.

Your preferences aren't actually objective fact.
It's not preference, rather strategic efficiency. There are much better talents that provides more benefits to rangers. As I said, Far Out Man is only useful for close/mid range mages. Talent point is scarce. Wasting one talent point for +2m while elevation provides over + 12m, does this sound smart to you? 99% of Enemies will be standing less than 20m range, if they're not, they will waste AP for moving anyway. Just use Tactical Retreat/Cloack and Dagger, and secure the high ground. I don't remember the time that I couldn't hit something from the high ground.

It's your game, and you're free to do whatever you want. I'm just telling you that Far Out Man made no difference at all in my game, and I don't think '+2m vs +12m' is unreasonable proof for that. Enjoy the game :)

And can you list them all?

Hothead & Executioner & ... whooops that's all core talents.

All remaining are "utility", like free arrows or bonus damage from elemental ranger or glass cannon, etc, etc.

I would have answered it if it weren't you. Don't quote me or come near me, please :)
