Black cat wont follow up / down ladder and it is stuck

Any way to get the black cat out of the underground tunnel in fort joy? I went down there and the cat followed - but it wont come back up as it cant seem to follow up throuigh ladders.. the cat is basically stuck in that little tunnel now and has nowhere to go. Anyone know a way to fix this? (sadly I don't have a save file before I went down there... although I would've had to go dow nthere anyway eventually and he just would've got trapped anyway)

he can't climb a ladder he's a cat...find a way out of fort joy where he can follow.

if you go up the locked door in the underground that leads to the main floor it will follow you up the stairs and you can either sneak out through the courtyard or go further up again and jump from the top floor to the beach outside (leads to the same beach as the sewage pipe) be aware however that if you exit through the sewers or tower it will class as escaped from fort joy and any magisters will attack you on sight from that point on.. The cat will leave you permantly once you have escaped and turn into a summon spell.

EDIT you could prabably also take the boat to freedom from the main floor also but i never tried this route.

If you want the summon the only option is a reload unfortunately. The cats not a bad movement summon early game but by no means essential so if you have carried on a bit sinmce losing him don't worry its not that important :)

The cat has bad pathing sometimes. If your going through hazard try to remove it first. Easiest way is set it on fire.
