Mordus’ Amulet SPOILER

When I returned to Lotar after clearing Wrecked Cavern Lotar took Mordus’ Amulet and kept it.
I read that he is meant to return it to you? He hasn’t and it’s not available in his inventory to buy, and I’m not managing to sneak to pickpocket him.
(This section seems a little buggy anyway; if I speak to him again after the above, it reverts to a conversation from far earlier about the Queen’s letter.)
If I reload and rerun it one more time I’ll go nuts :(
Any ideas?

This is really annoying. I whizzed back to repec taking one from Thievery and adding it to Sneaking, and now I can pick his pocket but can't take the amulet

He gave me back the amulet after continuing his questline, I believe. Check your log.

But also, don't stress if he keeps it like the little crook he is. Two level-ups and your team will be looking for a better item anyway.

I know, but it's the principle lol I did all the work, I want my amulet back!
Hope I get the chance to kill him later in the game :P

but that amulet was so useful. It had slots and I used it until I finished Nameless Isle.

I did, over and over again. I read sometimes players get it back, sometimes they don't - nece my reloading and replaying that section over and over.
It's definitely not in my inventory - I can see the darned thing in his when I try to pickpocket it.

Might have repercussions, but that's the type of risk you should be expected to weigh on your own when playing games like these
