Fix those Cursed Revenant
These guys are not fun nor challenging, they are extremely tedious. Nobody likes to sit there and reroll RNG trying to put out the void fire while having those guys recreate them by shooting cursed arrows, then proceed to resurrect across the screen infinitely. Any of these following change would solve the problem:
1. They are CURSED, BLESS should take away their ability to revive.
2. I killed a revenant by the entrance and watch it resurrect two screens down on top of the flight of stairs by its buddies. Are you kidding me Larian Studio? Nerf the revive range.
3. Put a limit on the number of times they can revive.
4. Take away their ability to recreate cursed fire terrain.
5. etc etc.

I build my team so I can dish out 14k+ damage each turn, give me some real challenge, not hot garbage like this.

I wonder if consume source kills them. Personally I just had my rogue sneak in there, and the rest of my party just run away.

They can't be targeted by Source Vamprism. I'm thinking about doing the same but it bothers me to leave them "alive".

Reposting what I just said on another thread. You take them out of the consulate to kill them. Cleansing the fire sounds so tedious.

Make some teleport scrolls and spam that ♥♥♥♥.

Good idea. But better I think to agro them then just run out. They'll chase you out.

Tried both actually, teleport them is slightly better but their revive range is too large (i.e the two screens revive), these guys are ranged so instead of chasing you they just fire cursed fire arrows, which is a pain in the butt.

Yeah, I really don't like the way they are designed.

Ended up ignoring them, after they teleported like 80+ meters away, having someone constantly escape, drain souce, come back, bless... over and over and over. Could not be bothered with that shizz.

Probably the worst designed / most frustrating / least fun fight I've encountered thus far in the game.

If the revenants could not just create new cursed fire at a whim this fight would be annoying, but at least fair. The fact that there are a limited number of corpses in the cathedral means that you're using up source for bless faster than you can remove the cursed fire. It's a battle of attrition and the odds are stacked against you. There's nothing strategic or fun about that.

They're annoying as hell for their infinite respawn ability, but their curse ties them to the walls of the Consulate; meaning that they will respawn in ANY patch of necrofire within the building. By using a character with 4 or 5 Sneak skill and any jumping ability (Cloak and Dagger, Tactical Retreat, Phoenix Dive, Teleport) you can whip around the building and Bless each Necrofire patch before starting the battle, preventing them from respawning. In the largest rooms without enemies, you can exploit Phoenix Dive to link up patches of Necrofire so that it only requires one casting of Bless to clear the room. Otherwise there should be enough Source puddles to restock and clear the whole building within 5 minutes.

If you strategise and remove your enemies' advantages before the battle, then during it, the advantage is yours ;)

Just sneak past them like you're supposed to. No point wasting your time killing them.

Sneaking past badly designed fights isn't any kind of solution. It's not even a difficult fight. It's just really_badly_constructed. With a few simple tweaks it could be a lot less annoying.

It has been designed to be sneaked past.
This is an RPG, the solution to everything isn't just bashing your head against it.

The hint is in the name. ROLE PLAYING. If you want to role play as a sneaky character, you should be able to. Similarly, if you want to be a brash warrior who just storms into fights, that should be feasible too.

If one option is wildly frustrating and the other isn't, that's bad design. Stop trying to defend it just because the "easy" path happens to align with your particular play style.

And for the record, I usually sneak too but I just felt like trying something different this time.

i thought the idea of them respawning was cool, since id not come across it in the game before that point, keeps things new and intresting

i gave up trying to find a way to beat them and simply battled my way to the back door, then blocked it up with some furniture

Tornado and stealth is the key. Run out the fight to reset the CD. But its quite long.
