Does the lizard racial, Dragon's Blaze, scale well into later levels?
Want to create a Pyro wizard. Seems like a toss up between Fane and the Red Prince (both have the kind of arrogant personality that I would expect from a wizard).

At beginning levels, it feels like the Red Prince's racial spell does a lot of good fire damage for only 1 AP. It seems like that spell will level up in damage as you raise intelligence and the Pyro skill.

Does anyone know if Dragon's Blaze is still useful for a Pyro Wizard at later levels, or does it simply become redundant and too weak?

Thanks!

I always use it, it scales pretty decently and is a good opener that is nearly free, even if I just use it to say, ignite a patch of ground nearby to stand in to activate elemental affinity.

Agreed! Great 1 cost AOE and pretty much everything is weak to fire. If you're doing a pyro wizard that seems like a great choice

Pyro wizard is pretty good when it comes to being a lizard. Just make sure to at least attempt to branch off to Aerothurge at least somewhat; if something is immune to Fire, it likely isn't immune to Aerothurge. Least from what I've seen, the lowest resistances have been to Air, as I only met a few enemies that were more than 100% immune to the damage type.

Good point. Being too specialized in Pyro might make me vulnerable to certain enemies (Fire Slugs, I'm looking at you!)

In general, I'm thinking of a build with:
- 5 pts in Pryo
- 3 pts in Aero
- 3 pts in Geo
- 1 pts in Hydro
- 2 pts in Scoundrel
- 2 pts in Poly

Should give me the fire power and flexibility I need to be the ultimate lizard wizard! :)

only ultimate lizard wizards are lone wolves fire\geo\necro focused.
