The fight at the end of Act 1 is brutal
Me and 3 friends just finished it after a 40 minute exhausting battle. We tried to go for a high ground, but things quickly escalated and literally everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. The voidwoken worm didn't even last 2 full rounds and literally missed every single attack of his. He was such a waste. So we were back to fighting against all of them. After a bit cheesing, 4 deaths and a lot of laughing cause of the absurdity of some moments we finally beat it.

We did every single quest and encounter in Act 1 and had good equip for our levels, but man this fight was a ♥♥♥♥♥. We were playing on Tactician difficulty.

Does act 2 continue at that difficulty level?

Act 2 will have a huge difficulty spike for the first few hours. I'd recommend getting some kind of summon and make it cannon fodder. Much easier that way until you get some decent gear.

You're going to have to accept that you'll have to do some fights over. Reset and try a completely different tactic. Once you get in that mindset you can beat any fight.

You can respec and make a better build with your skillpoints, so it kinda evens out

You get to be level 8, if you did everything in and around Fort Joy, at which point the fight is not difficult. You may have to reload because you are undergeared, made bad decisions during the fight, or the rogues got one of you down, but after you saw what was happening, you should be OK in a second try.

If you are below level 8, you have not "done everything". And if your gear is below level 6, go and get better. If you killed or alienated all your merchants or wasted your gold, you are in trouble.

Now...about the question...many fights are easier in Reaper's Coast, but several are way more difficult. A certain witch will one-shot your party, there is a troll that will flatten you, a fight on a burning oilfield which some find problematic, and a few others. There are a few fights around which are more difficult then others (like the harbor), and most of them are in act 2 and 4.

Easiest way to fight final Act 1 battle ( without Fog and other cheese ) - just leave 3 on stairs before arc , start battle and run through arc. 2 magisters will not join , and you buy some time.

We were all level 8 and we had level 6 gear for the most part. In hindsight there were better spots to start the fight though. Some chokepoints for example. It was our second try and I think we would do better on a third try now, but nobody of us really wants to give it a third try tbh. now that we beat it. ^^

Yeah I heard you can respec like in the first game. I am actually pretty happy with my build, but some of my friends wanna respec. Might change a few things.

Oh yeah, we did that already with quite a few fights. The witch in the cave of roses for example. Porting her to a choke point at the beginning and focusing her down made the fight way easier on the second try.

Wait till you meet the witch in act 2, even being the same level with her is just b.s sometimes, I had to seperate my lone wolves apart because of the insane AOE damage and charm spam, she pretty much ripped through my tank armor and half of his health in a single turn along with charming him.

you should definitely have clear mind scrolls on every character at the very least and really have them spread out before starting the fight or else they will get 1hkod before you can even move.

Alexander and his mobs were total fuccbois. Positioning well at the start of the fight sends them at you 1 by 1 and the clawed creature can’t even climb ladders. The thing that always gibbed me was the worm’s no-CD AOE slaughterfest of a burrow. Level 8 with good gear, it can still 2-Shot anyone.

Act 2 it’s easier to get things out of order, so I’d say be careful picking fights and use flee when you need it. The ogres, Alice, the scarecrow, and Mordis if you don’t kill him fast enough are pretty cheesy mobs.

The best way to deal I found honestly was hit the magisters when the worm comes out, they tend to focus it so you get some free kills in, you just need to keep your team away from the worm so it targets the magisters and if it looks like the magisters will all die leaving you with the worm then hit the worm, cos that thing hurts like hell.

Yeah we tried that. The magister did target the worm. However the worm didn't even last 2 full rounds. He died halfway through the second and literally every of his attacks missed. So that was a bit dissapointing. :P

He kinda did that the first fight. Teleported right into the middle of our group and started attacking us. Was not fun.
"Every quest" really haha
