Now given what happens, you might just get them back again later but I haven't passed that part without persuasion so I dunno.
Did you miss one of their quests? Beast is so damn agreeable anyway. Did you check their attitude score? Did you ask how they felt about Divinity and offer feedback?
Chaos seems to have a good suggestion -- maybe I did persuade them as well.
Oh good, that's one of two I was worried about. I don't care for her that much but she'd be the hardest to replace the way I have her specc'd. :D
I'm guessing you solved this by now but thought I'd add that I pulled up my old game and did see I had Persuasion at 5, but also wanted to let you know that Beast has a missing hat on the isle...if you didn't get that, that may help. Nothing you can do with Ifan on the Isle except kill Alexander of course.
