Finesse weapons are your "dexterity/agility" weapons if you were to use them in other RPG's.
So there are´nt any shortswords in this game? How sad.. but i guess its just that daggers are the assassines melee weapon of choice.
Magical wacky sticks (staves) and magical shooty sticks (wands)
Wacky sticks are two handed and work in short range like swords baring the special staff of magus skill.
Shooty sticks are one handed and work at range like bows I recommend dule wielding a fire and poison one for an added boom.
There certainly are short swords in this game. They just scale with strength. 1handed axes, swords, hammers are strength weapons.
The only "sword" I've seen that is finesse, is a rapier however I have only seen that one rapier which is sad....It is also classed as a dagger not a sword for some reason....
And Dual wielding Daggers, is it better to spend pts in Finesse or Dual Wielding
Spears are a 2h weapon. Unless changed via a mod to make them 1h.
2h specialization will assist in spear damage.
As for dual wielding daggers, you can spend point in both finesse and dual wielding, one is an attribute and the other a skill. Seperate points to be spent.
However, for both cases... warfare will end up providing more raw dps than any of the weapon specializations due to how that "+5% damage" is applied in the math behind the scenes.
That benefit of the specializations is that you get extra crit change, or dodge etc.
To add to M_Archl0rds comment, pretty much any build you deal physical damage with (archer, rogue, warrior, necromancy mage, polymorph) Should all invest into warfare, if raw damage is what you're after.
