Living on the Edge, a necro spell. It will prevent you from dying to it.

But honestly, Retirbution is not going to be your biggest concern. Shackles of Pain is.

point in necromancy, or get vampiric hunger. Vampiric hunger only costs 1 ap to cast. Mass Vampiric Hunger can be achieved with a source orb.

retribution was deffinately my only prob when i asked this question. i was being killed every time i did damage to alice at a certain point. ended up shackling her and then had to do less damage to finish her off and i survived.
and stupid me forgot about LOTE

getting Living on Edge to counter reflect damage doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Really you want living on edge for like a squishy rogue type melee. What I do is I cast adrenaline, Living on edge, deathwish, and vampiric hunger. Then my next couple of attacks I just do an american amount of damage and heal myself. It's almost unfair. Getting the talent 'What a rush' helps here, Glass Cannon could also help.
