Scam for epic gear
So today me and my friends found out a hilarious thing you can use the mask of shape changing for. In the jail beyond the maze on the Fort Joy island there's a well. This well wants to get filled with water and once you've done that you can continue to talk to it to learn that it wants money for the "fare". If you choose the 150 gold alternative you get an epic ring or belt. After this the well goes silent.

Now if we use the mask to change shape we can talk and pay the well again to get another epic ring or belt. This can be done for every form for every character. So after me and my friends were done with the well we had a total of 20 epic rings and belts XD

Nice find to bad it becomes obsolete in a level or two.

I don't know but it might give reward that is scaled to your level. In that case you could come back for better later. Also we have not tested yet if you can do it more times if you craft more mask that change shape.

More masks wont change it.
For the character speaking with your guy (the well in this case..) it is flagging it along the lines of...
Character = Fane, race = elf, quest complete yes/no
Character = Fane, race = human, quest complete yes/no
So another mask, unless you get some crazy mod that adds more races, wont change the amount of rewards you can get.

it's a neat little find, but at the level you discover that area, coming back later to get better items is... alas, pointless. You are about to leave to a better/bigger zone with better/bigger loot. Though, the first few jewelerry things you get can last until roughly level 10, at which point you'll begin swimming in gear that matches your level that it is irrelevant.

However, if you struggle with the alexander fight, or you wish to kill slain the dragon, farming this for good gear could be very very helpful to some.

Nice find. Helpful for solo play throughs, get a few extra chances at better gear.

Well we had basically common rings or no rings before this. Only epic gear we had before this was a 4th level bow (our healer went into huntsman so that at least someone used it) and a 5th level shield. We're kinda under the impression that we're undergeared since we've spent probably around 5k gold on ressurection scrolls XD
